The webinar on scaling work from laptop to supercomputer will be organized by AI Factory Austria AI:AT and Austrian Scientific Computing (ASC) on 17 April 2026.
As machine learning (ML) models grow more complex and datasets expand beyond what a single machine can handle, data scientists and ML engineers face a critical challenge: scaling their work from a laptop to high-performance computing infrastructure without rewriting their code or becoming HPC experts.
This session will introduce dagster-slurm, an open-source integration that enables running Dagster assets on Slurm HPC clusters.
The participants in this seminar will learn how to bridge the gap between data science prototypes and production-scale machine learning workloads on HPC clusters. They will learn how dagster-slurm brings modern orchestration to supercomputing environments without rewriting their code and how this allows them to use EU sovereign cost-efficient GPUs.
