The From Building to City Energy Simulation online course, organized by IT4Innovations in collaboration with the Czech and German National Competence Centres for HPC, will be held from 26 to 28 November 2025. This hands-on training introduces participants to advanced energy simulation methods that scale from individual buildings to entire urban areas, supporting the development of smarter, more sustainable cities.
Participants will work with the Ktirio Urban Building framework, a powerful open-source platform that combines geographic, vegetation, scenario, and weather data to model complex urban environments. Through hands-on exercises, attendees will learn to design and run energy simulations efficiently on HPC resources, enabling realistic large-scale analyses for city planners, researchers, and engineers.
The event targets professionals and researchers in HPC, energy modeling, urban planning, and data science, offering a valuable chance to enhance skills and collaborate with experts across Europe. Participation is free, but registration is required.
