EuroCC Czechia, LUMI AI Factory, and EuroCC Germany (SIDE), a CoE HiDALGO2, invite you to a hybrid seminar on quantum computing on 13 November 2025. The event will cover Grover’s Algorithm and the Schrödinger Equation, focusing on a quantum algorithm for estimating eigenvalues and singular values of parameterized matrix families, which are important in quantum simulations. This method combines amplitude amplification and phase estimation to find eigenvalues through singular-value minima. Additionally, a quantum adaptation of the pseudospectral collocation method for the Schrödinger equation will be showcased, demonstrating favorable scaling (up to \(O(\sqrt{N})\)) compared to classical approaches of \(O(N^2)\). The technique also avoids unstable matrix inversion and is ideal for high-dimensional molecular systems with dense spectra.
