Interested in exploring deep learning but lacking experience? Join the Introduction to Deep Learning course hosted by AI:AT - AI Factory Austria and Austrian Scientific Computing (ASC, TU Wien). It's an online event via Zoom on 3 and 4 November 2025.
This course provides a hands-on introduction to deep learning, suitable for beginners with no prior experience. Participants will learn about key neural network types, such as fully connected, convolutional (CNN), and recurrent (RNN), along with the basics of transfer learning and large language models (LLMs). Through structured lectures and practical sessions in GPU-enabled JupyterHub environments supplied by ASC, attendees will develop both a conceptual understanding and practical skills to implement modern deep learning techniques in real-world situations.
The course is intended for participants from academia, industry, and the public sector who wish to gain fundamental knowledge and skills in deep learning. Basic programming skills in Python and familiarity with Linux command-line tools are recommended.
Registration is open online through the event page. Seats are limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged. The registration form may close before the deadline once the capacity is reached. Accepted participants will receive a confirmation email and, shortly before the course, further instructions including a short preparatory task to complete before the sessions begin.
