EuroCC2’s NCC Austria and NCC Slovenia, together with CoE MultiXscale, are organizing an exciting sprint training event: Introduction to EESSI – European Environment for Scientific Software Installations on 4 October 2024.
The European Environment for Scientific Software Installations (EESSI, pronounced as "easy") is a shared collection of scientific software for HPC systems and beyond. It is designed to work seamlessly across laptops, personal workstations, and cloud infrastructure. Think of it as a streaming service for scientific software, providing you with the software you need, when you need it, and optimized to run efficiently on your architecture.
In this two-hour online workshop, the presenters will explain what EESSI is, how it is being designed, how to access it, and how to use it. The workshop will include several demonstrations, and participants will be able to test EESSI themselves.
