The webinar on high-performance computing (HPC) hardware is scheduled for 20 May 2026 as part of the 5th edition of this year's Italy-Germany Webinar Series, titled High Performance Computing: a Gateway to Next-Generation Research.
Course participants will explore supercomputer hardware, focusing on the evolution of architectures and accelerators, with three lecturers: Herbert Huber from Leibniz Supercomputing Center (LRZ), Abigail Morrison from the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine at Forschungszentrum Jülich – Helmholtz Association and RWTH Aachen University, and Mauro Olivieri from Sapienza University of Rome and the National Research Council of Italy (CNR).
This is the second webinar in a series that continues until 1 July 2026. Organized by the International Relations Office of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), the series is supported by HLRS and the science attaché office of the Italian Embassy in Berlin.
The webinars are free of charge, although registration is required.
