NCC Czechia, the National Competence Centre for HPC in the Czech Republic, is hosting an online Workshop on Quantum Computing on 3 December 2025. Join the event for an insightful exploration of the fundamental physical systems behind today’s quantum processors, including superconducting qubits like the VLQ platform at IT4I and photonic architectures.
This event provides an interdisciplinary overview of the latest advancements in quantum computing. Discover how light-based and superconducting architectures support large-scale computations, learn how to critically assess claims of quantum advantage, and explore how innovative circuit designs, such as dynamic quantum circuits, reduce resource requirements. Attendees will also see how hybrid quantum–classical workflows overcome hardware limitations, especially in data-intensive fields like imaging analytics. Ultimately, this event will offer valuable insights into the physical principles, algorithmic strategies, and practical challenges shaping the future of quantum technologies.
The workshop features six talks, such as Photonic computing for large-scale AI applications, Quantum runtime (dis)advantage, Dynamic Circuits for Efficient Quantum Computation: Logarithmic-Depth Approximate Quantum Fourier Transform on a Line, and Challenges of imaging data analytics on quantum hardware. Speakers include scientists from top universities and laboratories specializing in quantum computing, photonic computing, large-scale AI, machine learning, and quantum information protocols.
