We are happy to share that the Institute of Physics Belgrade, a key partner in HPC Serbia, has joined the second phase of the European Master for High Performance Computing (EUMaster4HPC-2) project.

EUMaster4HPC was a pan-European master’s program focused on High-Performance Computing, delivered collaboratively by leading universities and supercomputing centers across Europe through the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. Taught entirely in English, the program offers advanced training in parallel programming, computer architecture, scientific computing, and data-intensive workflows, combined with hands-on experience on top-tier HPC systems and required student mobility between partner institutions. Its aim is to prepare a new generation of HPC experts capable of working on state-of-the-art supercomputing technologies, large-scale simulations, and industry-relevant applications across science, engineering, and digital innovation.

Dr. Dusan Vudragovic from HPC Serbia explained that participating in the EUMaster4HPC-2 project allowed HPC Serbia to introduce a new range of complementary activities. "In its initial phase, the project successfully graduated the first cohort of supercomputing master’s students. Moving forward, the Institute of Physics Belgrade, in collaboration with HPC Serbia, will actively promote this master's program across the Western Balkans, aiming to produce the region’s first HPC master's graduate soon".

EUMaster4HPC-2 aims to expand its operations, strengthen industry partnerships, and stay aligned with emerging trends in AI and Quantum Computing, positioning Europe as a leader in computing education. The program will graduate over 400 students across four cohorts, with a strong focus on inclusivity and regional diversity. Its 120 ECTS curriculum includes core, balancing, and specialized modules, covering four key areas: System Architecture, System Development and Support, Performance Analysis, and Numerical & Data Analysis. Mobility is fundamental to the program, supported by grants, internships, and joint training events.
