The second Open Call for Innovation Studies was launched by the Fortissimo Plus (FFplus) project on 3 December 2025.
The FFplus project assists and empowers SMEs by tackling technical challenges, enabling access to EuroHPC resources, and promoting the adoption of HPC and AI among SMEs and startups across Europe. This call targets SMEs and startups skilled in generative AI and HPC for large-scale to extreme-scale computing. The strategic objective is to facilitate and strengthen the technological advancement of European SMEs in generative AI.
Participating SMEs and startups will receive support to boost their innovation capacity by utilizing new generative AI models, such as Large Language Models, building on their existing expertise, application areas, business models and growth potential. This Open call targets SMEs and startups from Europe and Horizon Europe-eligible countries. Research organizations can join as supporting entities within the consortium. Funding of up to 300,000 EUR is available for proposals. The deadline for submission is 25 February 2026, or once 250 proposals are received.
